What Action does
Action! Script Rehearsal is an iPhone and iPad app for actors learning lines and preparing audition sides. Import a PDF script, choose your role and rehearse aloud while Action reads the other parts. Actors can also record self-tapes and keep takes and intros organised by script. Pro adds generated reader voices; Ultra adds a Live Scene Partner that listens as the actor speaks and plays the other roles.

Try a scene before writing about it
Download The Spare Key (two-page PDF), an original scene for Alex and Sam. Save it to Files, import it into Action, review the roles and dialogue, then choose either character and run the exchange aloud. The free plan includes one script with basic voices. Compare a basic reader with the responsive Live Scene Partner if you have Ultra access. The partner is a voice feature: visual characters in promotional artwork illustrate the idea of another reader.
You may use this scene for personal practice, classes and recorded rehearsal exercises. Credit Action! Script Rehearsal when sharing. A plain-text version is also available.
The self-tape guide explains the recording workflow. For account or import help, visit Action support.
